The Legislative Progression page shows all of the connections between the different authoritative documents within Regology.

To view the Legislative Progression of an Authorized Document, click the button that icon that appears adjacent to it:

Hover on any node to see basic information associated with it.

  • If the node represents an Authorized Document, the application displays the title and citation of the document.

  • If the node represents a document that’s still in the process of becoming law, the application displays the title, the citation, and the status.

Click on a node to view a summary of the document.

If the node represents a document that’s in the process of becoming a law or regulation, the summary view displays the following details:

  • The title of the document

  • The document source

  • The latest version of the document

If the node represents an Authorized Document, the summary view displays the following details:

  • The title of the Authorized Document

  • The status of the Authorized Document

  • The publication date and/or the effective date of the Authorized Document

  • The effective date of the Authorized Document

  • The agency associated with the rule that the Authorized Document represents

  • The regulation ID number (RIN)

  • The date on which comments were closed for this Authorized Document

  • The Federal Register Citation number of the rule (Volume-Page Number)

  • A brief summary of the rule

Click Open Document to view the complete document. You can also click on the name of a document in this view to navigate to it.
